long week

Well, I have been gone ...working but fun. sticked to my healthy commitment. I got up every morning and swam laps and did the same at 10 PM when I got back to hotel. But the best news was that when I pulled into my driveway, after a week away, there was my BIKE!!!! We bought them and he had a big red ribbon ...gota love the guy!!!While I was gone he decided that our bikes needed to be our passions...so i have a performance PINK! HE DOES TOO!!! A man that rides a pink 10 speed is very secure!! We are all about the fight against Cancer! The most famous quote (and we all have them) was one that went like this: ''but mom...if it makes you happy who cares..." and i think, even though i miss her every day, what I am doing makes me happy!!!!

I speak of Chelsea ...my 17 year old who left us about a year ago...quietly. She got to do the one thing she was afraid of...she went to a prom!!! The young man that asked her to go will always be special to me. It wasn't an easy night for him...and she had to be back by 10 because her readings needed to go into CHOP... I had at least 20 teenagers in my house that night and we did an ice cream bar!!! Don't even try to tell me about 'the youth of today' because given a passion they are JUST LIKE WE WERE!!! maybe better! There isn't a week that goes by that I don't revceive a call, a visit, a card something ....they worry about me ... I don't want worry but where there is worry there is care!

And I do care!!
